Visit in Hydropolis with a guide and taking part in workshops
Specially for school groups, we have prepared a combined offer of exhibition tours and interactive educational workshops. It is a solution thanks to which students will discover water-related phenomena from the subjects of biology, geography, physics and chemistry, both theoretically and practically. Workshops led by guides last about 45 minutes - the topic corresponds to the age of students and follows the current curriculum. Workshops + exhibitions tour takes around 2 to 3 hours.
Price: 38 PLN per person
The workshop introduces the topic of space in an interesting way. Children will learn what the planets are, what place the Earth occupies in our solar system, and how water came to be on our planet. Participants of the workshop will make their own colourful Milky Way. They will also learn about the geological structure of the Earth, and at the end they will trigger the eruption of a pre-prepared volcano.
Pigments of portrait painters
Do It Yourself (DIY) manual workshop, where participants will create their own set of pastels from commonly available products. During the workshop, children will learn why we paint with pastels and not draw. They will also learn about the history of their creation and types. Prepared pastels combined with water will allow them to create unique paintings.
About the rocky planet
During the classes, students will observe the crystallization process and create their own crystal. They will examine specimens of various rocks and minerals. They will learn how to distinguish between different types of rocks and how their characteristics and genesis are affected by water and other environmental factors. They will also learn to read the basic characteristics of minerals.
The workshop will illustrate to students the water cycle in nature in a simple yet interesting way. They will learn about its various stages - from evaporation to cloud formation to rainfall. During the workshop, they will also study the soil and examine how humans contribute to its degradation.
The classes introduce topics in chemistry. During the classes, students will become familiar with terms such as aqueous solutions, redox reactions, reduction or oxidation. They will try, based on the reactions they perform, to determine which compounds are reductants and which are oxidizers. During the workshop there will be no shortage of impressive experiments that will surely fascinate everyone with this science.
