Thematic zone

Water printer

The exhibition will captivate you with its attractions even before you cross the building's threshold. In front of the Hydropolis entrance you will go through a unique water printer. Spanning as much as 46.5 m in length, it is Europe's longest installation of this kind. Various patters and inscriptions are displayed on the wall of water it creates. At the height of the exhibition entrance the printer works like a curtain, parting before visitors entering the building. This attraction is open only in a spring-summer season.

Entrance Zone

The extensive lobby combines a representive and communication function. Guests of Hydropolis can wait here before entering an exhibition, use the cloakroom, take a look around our souvenir shop or go to a cosy cafe - Molecule Cafe. It is also the last moment to use the Internet and download an app which will show you around the exhibition.

Temporary exhibitions

"Don't let me lose my colours"

8 February - 17 April 2020

Sweaters from second-hand shops, yarn, wool and plexiglass waste - among other things, these materials were used to create the exhibition "Don't let me lose my colours". This way, the artist has drawn attention to the problem of coral reefs going extinct. The existence of coral reefs is under a threat these days. They are being harmed not only by climate change, but also by human activity - the clothing industry, right after petrochemistry, is the second largest "poisoner" in the world - explains Linda Lemon, the originator of the exhibition.

Intriguing installation will be complemented by multimedia materials. Guests will see, among others, videos made in the Gdynia Aquarium.
